Description

Vanguard Select is seeking an experienced Close Protection Operative for an ongoing corporate residential security detail based primarily in London, with occasional travel to secondary residences in the Home Counties and East Midlands. The role involves providing discreet personal protection for a high net worth individual and their immediate family across multiple sites, including a primary London residence, a corporate office environment, and regular school run duties. You will be responsible for advance route planning, venue security assessments, residential access control, and close escort duties in both formal and informal settings. The principal maintains a busy schedule of business meetings, social events, and international travel, so flexibility and a calm, professional demeanour under pressure are essential. This is a rolling contract with an initial three month commitment and strong potential for long term retention. The team operates on a rotational basis with typical patterns of 14 days on, 7 days off, though ad hoc requirements may arise at short notice. Candidates must hold a valid SIA Close Protection licence, a current DBS enhanced certificate, and a clean UK driving licence (Full). First aid at work certification is required. Experience in residential, corporate, and mobile environments is essential. Experience working with families and in school run scenarios is highly desirable. A minimum of five years close protection experience is required, with demonstrable service in UHNW or corporate residential settings. Military or law enforcement background preferred but not essential. All candidates will be subject to enhanced vetting by the principal's security advisory team.
